A man is gay bashed

Below is a video of a man who has been recently gay-bashed. His attacker was armed with a gun and violently homophobic, while he was unarmed. In the video, he discusses the crime and how NO ONE came to help him during the attack. Furthermore, the witnesses just stood there, gawked and even laughed as he was being beaten. Worst of all, he was THROWN OUT OF THE STORE once the attack was over. No one called the police, much less an ambulance.

While the victim acknowledges he’s lucky to alive, his eye socket is shattered and he’s facing reconstructive surgery. This doesn’t look like “it gets better” to me. That this young man can sit calmly and discuss on a video the horrific violence he has experienced, speaks volumes to his own internal fortitude.

Please share this video with everyone you know. Here’s is living proof of what the impact of hate looks like on a queer brother. This young man could be your friend, son, brother, uncle, neighbor, and/or colleague. He is the face of Queer America.

And it is bleeding.
