Another court rules DOMA to be unconstitutional

Yesterday, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that DOMA, the so-called “Defense of Marriage Act of 1996” is unconstitutional. The litigation was brought by Edie Windsor and the ACLU.  This case is supposedly being fast-tracked to the US Supreme Court, which may hear the case by NEXT MONTH.

The ACLU has a GREAT video on why overturning DOMA is so important. Ultimately, DOMA hurts families.
